admin If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I have decided to take down all Adsense and Kontera code. I personally am not earning anything but about $1 a day from both combined. This is still a new blog, and I started it out all wrong. I want to build up readers before I decide whether or not I want to try and earn some money from advertising. Right now I’m just going to focus on one thing. Blogging.
I think other bloggers out there should think about doing the same. If you have a relatively new blog, don’t
slap some adsense code into it. Nobody likes seeing ads, and unless you have a fairly large amount of traffic, you’re not going to make very much from them. Now, on the other hand, more popular blogs can make tons of money from just 1 or two blocks of code, but here’s the thing, when you have a high traffic website you actually make money instead of just “trying”.
If you feel the same way, voice your opinion. Wouldn’t it be great if the next big viral blog buzz had to do with the taking down of ads. I’m not saying that Ads are a bad thing, I’m just saying that you have to know when to use them and when not.
When I visit a site for the first time, and I notice that it’s new, and it has a slew of ads all over the place, I almost unconsciously click the Stumble button. Just something to think about if you’re starting a new blog, or you already have a blog and trying to gain traffic. Taking down your ads could be a big turn on to your readers.
So give my site a look, subscribe to my feed, but don’t look for any ads to click on.

I agree. I am starting to hate blog ads tremendously. I’ve also removed them from my site a while back. They made the place ugly. I want people to be there to read my stuff, not the stuff on the ad sites. Although, I will and do keep my Entrecard. That’s one I’ll enjoy. Heck, that’s how I found your site.

Fantastic idea, I don’t have any ads on my site either. I tried a couple affiliate links way back when I first started but they looked tacky and were not worth the time or trouble. My blog is small and I really don’t aspire to take over the world with it or anything so I prefer to keep it clean and ad free.
I don’t necessarily mind ads if they are subtle and relevant but they can turn me off a site right away if excessive.

No ads here!
I’m keeping my adsense on my blog but I don’t really do much advertising. I can’t stand having all that shit on there. A couple text line ads aren’t too bad. I’m not making much either but I figure that maybe someday I will enjoy getting a $100 check from google.
