Just had to address a interesting comment. One that caused me to do some serious thinking and soul searching. I’ve come to this major revelation. Prayer does work.. Wether or not you believe in God, we all do acknowledge that there is a higher being in one way or another.
Now this I wouldn’t mind at all if it became a debate. But I must ask what really defines our lives each and every day. What makes us unique? Where are we headed in life at this point?
And last but not least. Do you believe in prayer?

I don’t believe in a god but I believe in the power of streamlined thought as in praying. If you pray about finding peace with in yourself and keep praying for that your mind will start the wheels in motion. There is so much about the mind we don’t know about and I think prayer or positive thinking or meditation is very powerful regardless of the word used to describe it. I wrote about your contest

No, I don’t believe in prayer at all. People who believe in it claim some prayers are answered and others not. They say the ones that are, are the ones God feels are the most important. I disagree.
The most religious person in the world can pray 24 hours a day, get cancer and die even if he/she was praying to be healed. Some might say God wanted him/her in heaven with him. If so, how exactly do you know ANY prayers are answered?
My point is, there is no way to prove or disprove prayer works and those who believe usually chalk good things up to prayers being answered and bad things to prayers not being answered. Whereas a non-religious person has the same exact things happen to them.
If prayer worked there would be statistics that show it does. Instead, there aren’t. The same amount of prayers as athiests get cancer, win the lottery, ace tests, and get good jobs.
