I’m getting a little confused with what I need to post and what I don’t need to post. This blog started out being strictly a poetry blog, based on making money online with my poetry. It’s ventured away from that initial idea.
Attempts to refocus my blog have failed, because I keep posting things like this that aren’t poetry related at all.
That’s why I’m opening things up. Tell me what you want to see on the blog. What do you enjoy reading?
I will still post poems on a regular basis, but as for posting everyday, I think it would chase everybody away if all I posted was poems.
Do you want tips on how to improve your poetry? Tips on how to make money from your poetry? Do you want more humorous content?
Let me know. Thanks for reading….

admin Let me rephrase that, nothing has been going right for me for a while now. I currently have the f
lu, and prior to coming down with that, I got the stomach flu the day after Christmas. It hurts to talk because my throat feels like it’s on fire. Every 30 seconds I have to cough and it feels as if my throat is ripping apart or something. I’m trying to work on a new blog that I’m planning on launching in the near future, but, I can’t find the right theme, and earlier today I thought I had found the perfect one, but, when I uploaded my own personalized logo for the header image, it left a bit of text at the top stating “Just another wordpress weblog” and I don’t know how to get rid of that. I went to the theme creators website and was going to leave a comment, but there’s something wrong with his/her comment form and it tells me that my email isn’t a valid email (Tell Google that). So, that post pones me working on that site. I haven’t had but a few people actually participate in my contest (I expected atleast 10 people by now, I’m up to 4 I think). Turns out I failed all but one of my classes. I have $0.58 in my bank account. I spent $5.50 via paypal, and I’m not sure what for. I still have yet to receive my check in the mail. I think my girlfriend hates me. I’ve taught myself all of “Cowboys From Hell” by Pantera in just a day, but, my fingers won’t play the main riff. I’m overly fatigued from my illness. I haven’t written a poem or a song in I don’t know how long (Writers block). I haven’t escaped reality in almost a week. My shitty wireless connection goes out whenever I answer the phone, there’s a storm, and also at random times. The phone just rang, and there went my connection. (Ironic isn’t it?)It always happens at the worst times. I’m bitching about everything and I can’t seem to stop. Nobody buys poetry from me, and I don’t blame them. Worst of all, it seems that lately, everything I do winds up being for nothing. Everything I put any effort into turns out to be pointless. This post, this blog, my life…. Any words of encouragement?
P.S. Based on the way things have gone lately, I already expect any and all comments to be the opposite of “Words of Encouragement” instead, I expect a bunch of comments telling me to suck it up and deal with it. Oh well, let’s see if I’m right.

admin I have decided to take down all Adsense and Kontera code. I personally am not earning anything but about $1 a day from both combined. This is still a new blog, and I started it out all wrong. I want to build up readers before I decide whether or not I want to try and earn some money from advertising. Right now I’m just going to focus on one thing. Blogging.
I think other bloggers out there should think about doing the same. If you have a relatively new blog, don’t
slap some adsense code into it. Nobody likes seeing ads, and unless you have a fairly large amount of traffic, you’re not going to make very much from them. Now, on the other hand, more popular blogs can make tons of money from just 1 or two blocks of code, but here’s the thing, when you have a high traffic website you actually make money instead of just “trying”.
If you feel the same way, voice your opinion. Wouldn’t it be great if the next big viral blog buzz had to do with the taking down of ads. I’m not saying that Ads are a bad thing, I’m just saying that you have to know when to use them and when not.
When I visit a site for the first time, and I notice that it’s new, and it has a slew of ads all over the place, I almost unconsciously click the Stumble button. Just something to think about if you’re starting a new blog, or you already have a blog and trying to gain traffic. Taking down your ads could be a big turn on to your readers.
So give my site a look, subscribe to my feed, but don’t look for any ads to click on.

This is a topic in which the world will never agree. Between health fanatics and the 75,284,986 smokers in America, no one will ever win the argument. The votes show that the majority of people say no. But think about it. In 1950, was it a big deal? Did anybody care about health problems related to smoking?
Just because you discover that cigarettes may or may not cause cancer, doesn’t mean that you can tell the world how to live. If a smoker wants to smoke in a public place, it may seem rude to non-smokers that populate the area, but, is it not rude to tell someone that they can’t smoke because it bothers you? What happens when a smoker starts saying that their rights are being infringed upon by non-smokers? If you are a legal age smoker, how would it make you feel if someone told you that you had to go to a designated place just because you are wanting to legally smoke a cigarette that you paid for with your hard earned money?
How long have people been using tobacco. Was cancer non-existent 100 years ago? Why is it that? If tobacco causes cancer, why didn’t it back then? Could it be that a group of avid non-smokers decided to plot some sort of conspiracy? When the big tobacco companies started up, did they start adding in more powerful carcinogens? Would people be that corrupt? All of you non-smokers, that can’t stand to even see a cigarette, what would you do to stop smoking all together. Fear is a powerful thing, and that’s what drives people to include warnings on cigarette boxes, and to have anti-smoking commercials. To scare the American public out of smoking.
If someone told you that they had discovered that milk caused some kind of deadly disease, would you never consume dairy products again? If a new study supposedly proved that the Internet can cause cancer, would you be outraged if you saw commercials telling you the Internet was dangerous. There have been tons of studies linking cellphone use to brain cancer. Are you going to stop using your cellphone. What if some health fanatic, wanted to impose a new bill stating that cellphones can’t be used in public areas. It’s a ludicrous concept, I know. How different is it from banning smoking in public areas?
America, land of the free. Slaves to the ideas and opinions of others. This article isn’t meant to negate reasons for banning smoking in public areas. This article is aimed towards the fact that if you want to smoke, you should be able to, without persecution. Until tobacco is illegal, it should be able to be used whenever, and wherever the legal age smoker deems appropriate. If you are in a public area where there is a smoker present, and you are an chronic asthmatic, carry around a little mask, and put it on if it bothers you so much. Don’t tell the person that they don’t have the right to smoke the cigarette that they paid for, or even have the audacity to tell them that they have to go elsewhere just because you don’t like it. The world doesn’t work like that. Sorry but no one said life is fair.
