SlamBlogger.com Is Launched

Tuesday
Jan 8,2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

It’s taken me long enough! I bought the domain almost 2 months ago I think and haven’t expanded upon the site since. Well, last night, from about midnight to 4 am this morning I was busy setting things up and writing a few posts.

What Is Slam Blogger?

My newest site isn’t your everyday blog. Slam Blogger is exactly what it sounds like. You know the A List bloggers out there right? John Chow…Shoemoney…Problogger. Well, at Slam Blogger, those A Listers get slammed for being so good at what they do. All you hear on the internet is how amazing it is that John Chow makes $30,000 a month. At Slam Blogger you get the same thing, but with a little twist. The site isn’t blantantly offensive, but it is rather humorous. You’d be surprised at how much fun I had writing some of the posts, and I just get more excited with each new post I write. Yes, at Slam Blogger you get to read up on what these A Listers are doing right, and their flaws, well, their flaws are pointed out.

Here’s a few links to some posts. Give them a read. It took a long time to set up the site, so I hope you like it.

John Chow…The Most Controversial Blogger?

Shoe, That’s His Money!

Who Want’s To Be Chow?

There’s not many posts right now, but, I don’t want to sit here and post 50 articles all at once. They post number will grow as the days progress.

What Do You Think Of My Contest?

If you liked the site, come back again and again. In addition to keeping up with and making fun of the popular blogs out there, there will also be random articles giving you a few tips so that one day, you can get slammed right along with them!

MMA New Theme

Monday
Jan 7,2008

I’m rather late at getting to this post, but, in a recent post over at Mixed Market Arts, Collin stated that since the sale of WordHugger and RssHugger, he’s used a portion of the check to purchase a new theme for his blog.

I think a theme redesign is great. The theme he currently has is nice, but this newest one is even better. In my mind, it’s a little to wide, causing the user to have to scroll horizontally to view the entire page. Not sure if Collin’s planning on leaving it like that or not, but either way, it’s not a major flaw, just a little inconvenient for the reader. The design for the theme is pretty much finished, now all we’re waiting on is for it to be coded into a wordpress theme.

Congrats to Collin on the sale of both RssHugger and WordHugger. A $12,000 check is pretty nice I bet.

The logo isn’t completely finished yet, but Collin says it will be completed along with the coding in about another week.

If you click on the image, it should open a bigger picture in a new window.

What do you think of the new theme for Mixed Market Arts? Leave a comment, let me know what you think.

Save Money, Use Coupons

Thursday
Dec 13,2007

This PPP was chosen because I for one enjoy using coupons. As you all know, since the move from Blogger to Wordpress, I’ve been having issues with hosting, and coming up with the money was one part of the problem. Luckily enough for me though, Google was able to help me find the coupon codes that I needed. The next time I’m in the need for a coupon code though, I’m not going to Google, I’m going to EDealFinder.

In looking around the site, I noticed two things, the fact that if used correctly, you can easily find whatever it is that you’re looking for, and also, that there’s a ton of coupons and coupon codes on this site. If any site out there is on the brink of being shut down because of theft, it would have to be this one. The deals that you can get using some of these coupons are ridiculous.

For Example : When you click on the Web Services category, it shows you a deal to get 5 domains for free using a Dotster Coupon.

When’s the last time you bought a domain for the cost of a coupon code. Now let me ask you this, would you have bought those 5 domain names if they actually cost you money? Not if you could help it. And also, if it wasn’t for this site, I wouldn’t even be aware of such Dotster discounts.

Also, check out the Dell coupon . I’m sure you can find a great deal there as well.

I give this site a thumbs up for being just plain useful.

If you’re like me you’re probably looking around trying to do everything you can to increase your rss readership. I found out about rssHugger via Mixed Market Arts. It seems to be a feed syndication website, in which readers and bloggers alike can connect and view and subscribe to different feeds all from one place. The process is pretty simple, you simply sign up and write a post about rssHugger and your blog is added and ready to start receiving traffic.

Here’s a quote from Mixed Market Arts.

The Idea
rssHugger is a unique website that aims to bring bloggers and readers together. rssHugger aims to provide blog owners with a unique easy-to-use way to promote their blogs by sending them traffic, building backlinks for search engine optimization, as well as attracting new rss subscribers if the content is interesting to the reader. rssHugger aims to help visitors be able to easily find blogs that write about subjects they are interested in. These subjects include: internet marketing, making money online, charity, sports, gambling, and many more. If the visitors find a blog that they had not previously heard about, they can easily add it to their RSS readers or bookmark it.”

Collin seems to expect this to be huge in a short amount of time. His goal originally was to get 50,000 blogs signed up with a $10 initial fee, but luckily, things were changed around and now anybody can add their blog for free by simply making a post about rssHugger. If you don’t want to make a post about rssHugger, there is an option to pay a one time $20 fee.

I personally think that once this gets a little bit bigger, it will be the next viral thing in the blogosphere. Speaking of that, whatever happened to BlogRush? I took the widget off of my sidebar because it was bringing me only 2 visits per week. Has it brought anybody else any traffic?
